Sparta shooting complex needs some help

    By Rod Kloeckner
    News-Democrat

The "Help Wanted" sign is out at the World Shooting and Recreation Complex in Sparta.

The WSRC is seeking groups and individuals interested in working as scorers and loaders at shooting events at the complex during the 2008 season.

The first major event at the WSRC is the U.S. Open trap shooting competition scheduled May 1-4. The event is in need of 75 scorers and loaders on May 1 and 2, and approximately 100 people to work on scoring and loading on May 3 and 4. Training sessions will be conducted in mid-April.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.- Applications and more information are available by contacting Chris Hespen in the Illinois Department of Natural Resources office at the complex locates on One Main Event Lane in Sparta, or by calling 295-2700
