Your're kidding right????? Sparta is a farm town,,,in other words---the town closes up at five,,,people go home to a real supper,,and the thoughts of a "poker organization" are non-exsistant....

It used to be that poker games could be had in the local barbershop,,,Ill frowns heavily on these types of games,,and come down pretty hard on anybody caught doing it,,especially the property owner....

    AKA Grammie..........

If Sparta was a "real gun club" you should be able to run a poker tournament or at least a 4-5-6 game somewhere on the grounds. There must be some backsliders around the grounds willing to set-up a game. What's happened to trapshoots anyhow?

There is most assuredly a local poker club. Would you like me to get you into the games? It's pretty low stake though ... $50 & $100 antis to start and min $10,000 buy in. They dont play around with the little guys who come to town to shoot there pop guns, they like to keep the WSC attendees as far away as possible, they dont want to take there money and make it so they wont come back ... since they are so dependent on the WSC to keep the economy alive in the area. :)

MX2000, if your asking with regards to the open, find Leo and ask. If there is one he will know.

If your asking in regards to the Grand, yes there is definetly a game on or more than likely multiple.

The ones above are cheap, buy in, fun games.

Now the locals did have atleast two games going intown during the Grand last year. Sorry grammie, I guess you don't know everything.LOL

Email me if you like and I will get you in a game at the Grand if you would like.

I was just recently in St. Louis on business and Harrah's Casino had a nice 20-25 table room. Probably about an hour from the club. If your staying at a hotel, pick one closer to the city. Jeff G
