Headed down to FL in March, pretty much open on dates. Any advantage/disadvantage between the two shoots ?
Not a top competitor so big prizes aren't that important.
Looking for fun and shooting a little in the warm sun.

Shoot them both. 13 days of shooting in 14 days. March 15 thru the 28th. Enjoy the sun, fun and good friendship. Oh yeah, bring money, help keep Florida green;-))

JBMI, If you go to the Southern Grand all the trophes are "open", there are no resident trophies

If you're not a Florida resident, all you're allowed to win are the "open" trophies at the State Shoot, which usually can't compare to the resident ones.

The weather should be nice for each shoot!

Both are fine shoots, but my choice is the Southern Grand.
