Thanks for putting up the pix Joe. Interesting to see the range and the shooters. Quality group of youngsters there. I LOVE seeing the various gun mounts - bunker shooters really get into the gun. Not quite shorts weather just yet here in northern california but we're not too far off. Have to envy those that get to travel to the warmer zones during the dead of winter - must've been a treat for the Canadians.

    cheers

Matt Depuydt was first in the Regional and Lance Bade was the overall match winner.

Weil post results when the USA Shooting paperwork is done.

Don't no about scores, but scores must have suffered with the winds that blew through Florida on Sunday.

Gusting up to gale force on the coast...

Lance shot a 162 out of 175, he said the winds were close to 40 mph.

    Won by 5 birds.

My goodness, checkered shorts?? Plastic buckets to throw empties into?? Changing stations with shells in a gun?? Old fat guys shooting with young pretty women?? Where will it all end? How do these people survive?? This would not be allowed at most clubs.

    In jest,
    Mike

The scores should be posted on the website by the end of the day

    Tom

p.s. trapper mike.... yes and the shooters actually help run the shoots and can hit the buckets with their shells.

All the scores are now posted on the website.

Here are some answers to your questions:

-- There were two shoots in one. The Regional which was a 125 Target match for SE Region residents only and a 200 Target (shortened to 175 due to weather) overall match. One was for the medals and one was for the money. Depuydt won the medal and Bade won the money.

-- Brett was in attendance but is not shooting due to a shoulder problem. He had it fixed a few weeks ago.

-- 40 MPH cross winds were the norm on Sunday. Shot at a couple I should have waited for them to come back to me.

-- The best scores were shot over our old bunker which has had the reputation as being the toughest bunker in the country...

For all you that did not come you missed a great match.
