Duke... The wind "blows" in South Dakota? Surely you are pulling our legs... I was born in Sioux Falls, and I never saw the wind blow. I saw it HOWL, turn cars over on the highway, tear roofs off the houses, and carry small children away as far as Minot, ND, but, I never saw it just "blow".....lol. Just a typical July day in Sioux Falls....

Whiz..... Are you in one of the carry overs? Don't let us home boys down... Dan

Betty, you're welcome. It's kinda cold and windy here in Sioux Falls, very different from most South Dakota State Shoots in the past 12 + years. Hope you are shooting well at the WZ. See ya in a few weeks at the Grand.

I don't believe Whiz is at the State Shoot.

From the ATA shooter info sight, Jim hasn't shot any registered targets for 5 years.

My last state shoot was at Mitchell (& I actually tied for hdcp champion).

Some "things" happened that soured me a few years back and I have not shot a registered target in 3 years, not 5 accodring to a poster. I kinda wanted to hit the 25,000 in hdcp too. I don't plan to shoot registered in SD until some "things" happen again. That's all I want to say about it.

I am in Washintgon and planned to shoot the handicap at the Western Zone in Spokane, but my wife was seriously injured in a bicycling accident in/near Mullan ID. She is undergoing surgery this morning in Spokane (her injuries could not be addressed by the ER in Kellog, ID), a few hours from now, actually, and I am headed to the hospital in a few minutes.

I plan, depending on this morning's surgery and her conidition, to return to Rapid City with her as soon as possible for follow-up surgeries. I have a couple doctor friends (actually past students of mine) who are specialists in this field of medicine.

Sorry, but I brought the Perazzi parts to WA, but won't even get to the gun club now. Hope to be back home around Wednesday.

Excuse the typos, but my left hand was injured in the same accident cause by some careless bikers. I was riding along side her when this happened, but I took a less lethal spill.

Crooks runs a good shoot and has always been a favorite place of mine to shoot. Hello to Bob Felber, Tom Muilenburg, Kenny, and the gang there, and congrats to fellow 27 yarder shooting buddy, Jim Anderson.

I made an error last night. Nathan and Tim only shot 475 shootoff targets, not 675. Someone told me the total targets that they shot including the event. Will report the Handicap Championship late this afternoon when all is finished.
