Why can't the Sooners win a Bowl Game ?
0-4 in the last five ?
Stoops is just not a finisher.
No Sooner fans ?
That's better than 0 for 9.
Who was 0-9?
Jim what happened to the player on the team that was arrested for shoplifing before the bowl game this year ?
Don't know. I don't keep up with any of it very much.
Does anybody know what happened to the O.U. Sooner player that was arrested for shoplifing before the bowl game this year ?
This article describes the latest.
Looks as if the sooners are back to their Switzer ways, crimminals from Dallas.
Stoops is an excellent coach, and the Sooners are a quality team, year after year.
And this is coming from a dyed-in-the-wool Husker fan.
People in Nebraska said for years to get rid of Osborne because he "couldn't win the big one."
Took him a little while, but his legacy speaks for itself.
Keep Stoops. He's a quality coach, and he'll keep the Sooners in the rankings for years to come.
If you remember correctly once neb. joined the big 12 osborne didn't have success. For years when the big 8 was just oklahoma and neb. so to speak of osborne had a winning record, it was some what easy to make a run with one loss in the conference. Those days are over. There is competition now and ou or neb, are no longer the big boys on the block.
"...once neb. joined the big 12 osborne didn't have success..."
Get your facts straight.
Osborne only coached two years once the Big 8 changed to the Big 12.
1996 and 1997, then he retired.
In 1996 Nebraska went 11-2 overall, and 8-0 in the Big 12 and lost to Texas in an upset in the Big 12 Championship game.
In 1997 Nebraska went 13-0 overall, and 8-0 in the Big 12 and beat Texas A&M in the Big 12 Championship game, then went on to be co-NCAA Champion with Michigan after dismantling Peyton Manning and Tennessee in the Orange Bowl.
I'd call that Success with a capital "S".
Even after that, Solich had pretty good success in the Big 12.
Granted, parity has caught up with OU and Nebraska, but Stoops has maintained a good record in Norman. I'd still stay with him. He'll win games for you.
I'm hoping Pelini can light a fire back under the Huskers.
Pedersen and Callahan did EVERYTHING they could to ruin the tradition of Nebraska.
Separate names with a comma.
