All this talk about buying foreign goods makes me wonder. A lot of shooters shoot Italian guns, fought against us WWII, Japan , lots of brownings and others made there. Fought against us WWII. I could go on and on. chinese I dont know what there making for guns yet. Tons of guns comeing out of turkey? To me its a matter of getting the what i feel is best for my $$$. Allthough I dont know of any off hand but i bet germany has some great guns also. They have some really good tools also. I would like to keep more of my spending local and for US made goods. Its just really hard. Not many options. There is a problem with this reliabilty of foriegn services that bothers me. If china decided to kick US manufacturing out or tax the crap out of exports whta would we do? theres been a shift and im not happy about it. The empire state building was built in something like 388 days start to finish! It takes longer than that to fix a pot hole in my town! theres a drive that seems to be missing today. cant put my finger on it.

I can't think of any German made trap guns either. Hmm, I'm sure they must make some.

I just stuck something in my head, too...food made in Mexico, probably with ingredients from China.

The Matrix has you now - might as well give up.

So I'm reading bcnu's response to the original post and I'm thinking, "What's wrong with this guy? Joe Walsh rocks! Rocky Mountain Way is a freakin' classic, one of great tunes of my misspent youth." I started 'listening' to the lyrics in my mind. The volume was cranked and I was rocking...

    Rocky Mountain Way Lyrics

    Spent the last year
    Rocky Mountain Way
    Couldn't get much higher
    Out to pasture
    Think it's safe to say
    Time to open fire
And we don't need the ladies
    Crying 'cuz the storie's sad
    'Cuz the Rocky Mountain Way
Is better than the way we had
    Well he's tellin' us this
    And he's tellin' us that
    Changes it every day
    Say's it doesn't matter
Bases are loaded and Casey's at bat
    Playin' it play by play
    Time to change the batter
And we don't need the ladies
Crying 'cuz the storie's sad, uh huh
    Rocky Moutain Way
Is better than the way we had
    Hey, hey, hey, hey

And then happened. Right in the middle of my groove it occurred to me bcnu didn't say Rocky Mountain Way. He said Rocky Mountain High, that abomination by John 'Pencil Neck' Denver.

OMG! Now I can't get it out of MY head! Dang you bcnu!!

recoil sissy, wrong song and wrong writer. Try John Denver singing Rocky mountain High for 8 or 9 hours straight!

I can't think of the lyrics right this second Thank God! but it has something to do with early to bed and early to rise and hot cakes on the griddle.

bcnu - "cakes on the griddle" is from Denver's "Thank God I'm a Country Boy". Now you have another one almost stuck. You have my sympathies. I usually have that problem when I'm on the riding mower - seems like the mower deck plays a certain note, and then it starts a song, and it sticks there till I get done about 2 hours later. Sheesh.

Older motorcycle helmets let a ton of air in and gave the rider's eardrums a constant, low-level random input which the brain then tried to make sense of by imposing it's own version, I've heard opera, classical, loads of massed-vocals , pop, all in moderate fidelity and convincing though clearly a hallucination. The worst was "It's a small world after all" from a dreadful eponymous Disneyland ride that about drove me crazy for hundreds of miles. God how I hate that song!
