Nuisance animals? we feed them on our back deck each morning and evening. had 7 babies coming up during the summer. they love cat food, mashed potatoes, corn, any fruit, especially grapes and anything with sugar. watching them up close, each is colored a little different, some are more dominant, especially the small females. each has its own personality. plus, they eat bugs, snakes, spiders and many bad critters. photos taken through our sliding glass doors from family room out to deck.

But Joe, I agree, relatives can be nuisance animals.

We had a pet coon at one time, the mother got hit by and killed by a car and we caught the baby ... Named it Martin Luther (Coon), It was not far down the road from the McHenry Sportmans Club in nothern Illinois ... Talk about destructive, was fine until you locked him in his cage at night and left the building ... Honest I swear this is the truth ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

lots of fun when young, not so much when older. A friend had one names George, 50 lbs and a real PITA. They turned him loose 50 miles away, but he showed up some days later!

Soon as I read the title earlier this afternoon, I knew it was only a matter of time........

For the record, the biggest coon I've found in my traps was 44lbs. Very intelligent animals with an uncontrollable sweet tooth. Gets em every time.

They like shiny stuff too. Aluminum foil over the pan of a #1-1/2 Victor coil spring in 4" of water. I made a few bucks using that trick as a kid.

See link above to get your very own coon tails. Get the big ones. GlacierWear gets them from dead coons. Tell 'em Joe sent ya. Here are some of their beautiful fur hats:

It would be hard to get one from a live coon. Mike

It's really not that hard. Fact is, modern day coons will give you a little tail for a pair of silk stockings and a box of Whitman's chocolates.
