Solo 1250 is too slow burning for 1200fps loads. Their ballistician said not to use it for anything under 1 1/8oz @ 1250fps. I use it for pigeon loads, 1 1/4oz @ 1220fps and it still burns dirty.

I use it in papers with 1 1/8 oz at 1250. A little residue, but this is absolutely the best Caps powder I have ever used. Too bad it is discontinued.

26 gr in paper hull gets to the target from the 27 QUICKLY, sounds like an Express load from the parking lot (it IS an Express load), but is very soft shooting.

It is a little slow for 1200 foot loads.
