    Anyone use this powder?

How do you like it? What shot weight is it optimum for? i.e. red dot at 1200+ is too much for 1 1/8 oz loads in remchester hulls

Is it any good for 7/8 oz 12 ga loads?

    thanks!

Solo 1000 is one of the best powders out there. Works great for 12 ga loads from 3/4 ounce wienies to heavier 1 1/8 ounce loads.

I think that the Solo 1000 is great. For 1145 fps I use 17.8 gr., DR wad, AA hull, and W209. Works great for 7/8 also, just go by the book.

Bruce, I like Solo 1000. I is a superb 1 1/8oz load powder, and an excellent 1oz powder. If you use typical .055" crimps, I'd look for a faster powder for 7/8oz loads. Remember, the current Solo data assumes .080" crimps. That really raises the pressure. You have to go back to 2003 data for .055" crimps, but they have made minor variations to the mfg processes subsequent to that time, so you are really left wondering.

If you like Am Sel, you'll like Solo 1000, and vice versa. The only real difference is Solo 1000 is more tolerant of hotter primers than Am Sel is.

ZZT I think your call is right as their data says approx 20 grs for 7/8 but they may be mislisting the burn rate. It is shown as faster than red dot and that disagrees with the trends of their data

    Other thoughts?
    thanx!

I use 11.2-11.6 gr for my light 20 ga loads . Nice for the younger shooters . Also can break them from the 23 yd line

Ljutic111 is that a published load?

It seems that S1K would be a great 20 ga powder but I don't see loads on their website

    Anyone else have data?

    Thanks !
