1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

SOLD__OK all you high power rifle lovers--here is a classic rifle in one of the very best Weatherby Magnum calibers--the .257! Maybe the best long range antelope, deer or varmit caliber ever made! It's a wickedly effective cartridge. This German built Weatherby has fired exactly 4-FOUR shells. The remaining 16 shells come with the gun! Like new in all respects with a very nice Claro stock. Let's call it 99%. Forget the scope--it's crap--but you can have it anyway. The rings and bases are 1st rate, however!! A terrific example of this type rifle and under the market at $1375 delivered in the lower 48. Email me or call 609-658-7739.

Nice rifle at a GREAT price.

Good luck selling it. Recently bought a Jap Mark V in 7mm Weatherby but wish it was a German in this kind of shape!

I think your mistaken about your Mark V, I have (5) German Mark V's all bought in the 50's when they were made in German, after Weatherby stopped making them in Southgate. All the German Mark V's have side safety, not safety on the bolt. I live close to Weatherby here on the California coast and talked to them about changing to the Japan safety and trigger they said no can be done. Hey Acorange don't feel bad about your Japan Mark V, they have a better trigger than the German's

I have several late model German Mark V's, they stop manufacturing them in 1972. Most of if not all the late model Germans starting with serial numbers with prefix P do have the safety lever on the bolt. The barrel is stamped made in W. Germany. Weatherby actually sold a retro safety kit to convert the old style safety on the side to the safety on the bolt. Beautiful rifle and offered at a good price. Good luck with your sale.

Boomer: Exactly how many absolutely beautiful guns do you own?

I never ceases to amaze me what comes out of your safe.

From that beautiful M42 which was the nicest one I've ever seen to this Weatherby.

I have to hand it to you, You've got really great taste in firearms.

I just wish I could afford more of them.

Thanks Randy! I've been "accumulating" for 45 years and I'm thinning the herd! My goal is to get everything in one safe and spend more time chasing birds!!

Boomer, where do all the idiots come from on here? I think if you have something to say negative about a persons sale, you best say it to your wife but not on here, especially if you don't know what you are talking about

    +1

I have owned 3 German Weatherby Mark V's and all three had the safety on the bolt shroud- typical of the Mark V action.

It's simple. They were made both ways.
