1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Gun is now sold, thanks for all the nice comments - Parker Reproduction in the wonderful 28 gauge. This gun has been assembled but appears to be unfired and is in wonderful 99% condition overall with only two very, very small marks that are too small to photograph. As far as I'm concerned the Parker Reproduction is the best bang for the buck in side by side guns today and the 28 is the best of the best. These lovely little DHE grade guns, unlike many 28's built today, were built on a true 28 gauge scaled OO frame and handle the way a 28 gauge should handle. These Reproduction guns are near exact replicas of the original Parkers and most if not all the parts will interchange with them. The benefit to the Reproduction guns is they used modern metal technology to produce a stronger gun but with the same feel and look of the original Parker.

Now for the specifics of this particular gun. This trim little 28 tips the digital scale at 5 pounds 14 ounces. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 3/8 X 14 1/4 to skeleton butt. Barrels measure 26 inches and are choked improved cylinder and modified. This gun has a single selective trigger, pistol grip butt, and beautiful honey colored english walnut. The neat thing about this particular gun is it has the great feeling, trim beavertail forend. Unlike many beavertails these are actually scaled to the gun and are very trim and compliment the appearance and feel of the gun. It also makes it a pleasure to shoot when the barrels heat up on the dove field. Gun comes with the original Parker Reproduction case, dust cover, key, and snap caps, all in excellent condition. Price of this gun is $4700 plus $50 shipping to your FFL. Feel free to contact me at esetter5@roadrunner.com with any questions you might have. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period on this gun.

Beautiful gun. I agree with all you said, they are great guns, period !!!!! And this is a great buy, and has beavertail forend, which is still very slim in comparison to others. Great handling qualities, good luck with this beauty !!...........Rob G.

Sure, we can make it fit. Just takes a big hammer! Seriously, thanks for the nice comments. I try to find nice guns, and a lot of them I sell I'm sorry after I do it. This may be one of those, but I have a 28 Parker Repro already with no case coloring left after a few years of heavy grouse hunting. Then I have a 28 AYA#2 and a few others so something has to go every once in a while.

Also, if you haven't handled one of these guns with the pistol grip, you need to give it a try. They are a very mild pistol grip, like a prince of whales. Not at all like a target gun.

I know and I love double triggers, but this grip with the beavertail does feel good. I just love the look of a straight grip. I do think this is one great looking little gun though, and I do love the Parker Repro guns.

I tried to tell you that back when you were hunting with your Browning side lock. That is a really nice gun too, did you hunt with it much this year?

Not at all. I hunted with a 20GA original Parker straight grip and a William Powell 16GA. Both have 2 1/2" chambers. I still have my Browning Sidelock and if money were on the line for Grouse, that would be the gun I would grab.

The beavertail is a real plus, mine had a splinter forend and was just misery on the sporting clays course.

esetter, do you know if the auto safety can be disabled on these ?

I have a friend with a steel shot special that he set up for sporting clays and he had the gunsmith disable the auto safety on it.

Someone really needs this little gun, and I would certainly like to sell it so the two of us need to get together! This gun is too nice just to sit here in the case!
