1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

I should get a lot more for this gun. They are hard to find sitting in a closet. LOL

Nice Upland gun with 3" shell. I load a 3" Remmy hull with 3/4 oz of Copper-Plated 5's or 7 1/2's at 1200 fps. This load makes the little fellow a 35 yard gun with the full choke. :^)

Remington never made a 870 410 w/ synthetic furniture (or a 28ga for that matter). Always been walnut, burch, or laminate.

These guns have full sized stocks with a relatively high comb for a field gun. Most folks have not handled one. Being a Native American with high cheek bones, I see rib between the beads, like my Sporting guns.

I know it will not shoot like a $1200 28 ga (snicker), but it is a lot cheaper, and has not been setting in a closet for many years.

The stock is not "mahogany laminate". More of a plywood with stained layers.

Right or wrong, Remington (and every website selling this gun who copy/pasted Remington's info) calls the stock "mahogany laminate".

@ skeet man: Guess it's Remington that's taking liberties with the description. True mahogany would be expensive and heavy for a stock set. What ever it is, IMHO, it's still plywood.

Remington has used solid mahogany for 1100 (and probably 870) stock sets before.

The "ultimate" upland gun, to the top (by request) at a reduced price. Now it is by far, the cheapest one on the net!

This would make a great field shotgun for some lucky kid.

Trust me -- many moons ago I was the lucky kid who got one. Great memories of hunting with it. Wish I still had it.

When I was a kid, I hunted with a Winchester 42 with 28" Mod barrel. Kinda nice to shoot the same shell at critters I shot over 50 years ago.
