1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Gun is sold pending receipt of funds. Thanks for all the nice comments. I was afraid this one would sell!!! I never thought I would sell this gun but here goes. I have a new, unfired, still in box Beretta ASE Limited Edition Sporting. This gun is number 52 of 300 produced. These were hand built in the Beretta Custom Shop along side the SO series guns. I am the original owner of the gun and it was purchased from the Beretta Gallery in New York. Here are all of the particulars on the gun:

Sporting model with 28 inch Excelsior Steel Barrels.
Barrels have 18.6 bores and Beretta Optima chokes (5) and 3 inch chambers.
Stock is hand rubbed oil finish and dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 3/8 X 14 1/2 over original Beretta pad. Schnabel Forend. Right hand palm swell and cast off for right hand shooter.
Single Selective drop out trigger, gun weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces. Super strong crossbolt locking system. Wonderful hand engraving,
Gun includes, Beretta hard case, snap caps, manual, warranty book, snap caps, spare parts kit, choke tube case, team Beretta patch, and original box showing the original price tag of $13,500.

This gun is unfired (unless test fired at factory) and one owner (me)! It is perfect and not a mark on it. Price of the gun is $8000 plus actual shipping to your FFL. I'm selling this because I already have an ASE90 two barrel set with a set of Briley sub gauge tubes and this one is just sitting in the rack looking pretty. Can't bring myself to shoot it so I'm going to sell it. Don't want to offend anyone but this is a firm price on a fantastic gun. Contact me at esetter5@roadrunner.com with any questions you might have on this gun.

If only the barrel was full length. I would take it.

Well, I have a 28" barrel and a 30" barrel for my ASE90 and I shoot the 28" better. I guess it doesn't know it isn't full length. Remember, this gun weighs 8 pounds 6 ounces. It is not a little light whippy gun. The balance between the hands is great, and it reacts very well on those short, fast, targets for me and I would think most average size people. 32" barrels in sporting clays is the current rage and I remember when 26" barrels were the rage. I shoot what works well for me and the 28" with extended choke tubes work perfectly for me.

    Don't do it, man!!

Take it out and shoot the hell out of it.

Then sell it. It'll still be worth $8000.

No one i know buys a gun to fit someone else. You should shoot what works for you no doubt. Just harder to sell the shorter barrel guns these days. I was serious when i said i would take it if it had a 32" barrel. Hard to find the ASE guns with full length barrels.

this gun is heavy enough that the 28" barrels will not be a big detriment to shooting skeet, sporting clays, or some of the faster trap games like Bunker. Bump for a very nice gun.

The thing I like about the 28" barrels is when you put sub-gauge tubes in them the gun doesn't feel barrel heavy. I shoot sub-gauge the majority of the time especially now with the price of shot and the gun feels wonderful with the tubes installed. Thanks for all the nice comments. If it doesn't sell it will just go back in the rack to look pretty some more.
