1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Thanks, the gun is sold pending receipt of funds. I have decided to sell one of my personal guns that I have owned for a few years. I thought I would be shooting more trap than I am so I hate to see this one sitting in the rack and would like to see someone use it as it is a wonderful gun to shoot. Here are the specifics:

This is a Knick gun with serial number 4022XXX manufactured in 1930

Gun has 32 inch barrel and the measurements are .731 bore, .694 constriction, .037 choke so I'm sure the barrel hasn't been altered inside or out. Barrel bluing is excellent and original and the gun still has the front and mid ivory beads. I would rate the bluing at 98% and definitely original.

    The stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 x 2(end of Monte Carlo) X 14 1/2 over a period correct and perfectly fitted Hawkins pad.

Wood has been refinished and it has a modern high gloss finish. There are a few handling marks on the stock but no cracks, large dents, or major dings. Checkering is very nice as you can see in the pictures.

Lever is way to the right of center and case coloring appears original to me and everyone that I have shown it to including some shooters that have shot 4E's for years. Colors are worn on the bottom of the receiver and very nice on the sides. Pictures do an accurate job of showing the coloring of this gun. Only screws that aren't near perfect are the two on the trigger tang and they are slightly buggered but could be easily fixed.

This is a great shooting gun and absolutely smokes targets. Price of the gun is a firm $2250 plus actual shipping costs to your FFL. Contact me at esetter5@roadrunner.com with any questions you might have.

That is a lot of very fine craftsmanship for not too much money. They didn't make any longer than 32 back then did they?

They did make some 34 inch guns. But it is hard finding one that hasn't been altered in some way, chokes altered, stock cut, etc. This one hasn't been altered except for the finish on the stock.

I have seen factory barrels out to 35". I have a 4-E that came from the factory as a two barrel set, one mod and one full. Ithaca was a lot like Winchester and they would make what ever you were willing to pay for. Same goes for the wood, my 4-E has much better wood than my 5-E and a better checkering design.
