1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Gun is sold pending receipt of funds. Thanks to all that called about the gun. Selling on consignment from my friend's collection a very nice original Ithaca NID in 16 gauge. Serial number on the gun is 469666 putting it at 1947. The gun has 26 inch barrels and the markings are improved cylinder and modified. Actual measurements are Right bore .659, restriction .653, choke .006 or improved cylinder, left barrel, bore .659, restriction .645, choke .014 or modified. Weight of the gun on my digital scale is 6 pounds 15 ounces.

The gun is a pistol grip, splinter with ebony insert, and having double triggers and extractors. Stock dimensions are 1 5/8 X 2 7/8 X 14 LOP over the original butt plate. All screws are excellent and well timed.

Condition of the gun is very good with some marks and a couple scratches. No cracks of any kind. Lock up is very tight and one face and barrels ring like chimes. Case coloring is excellent showing very little wear. Face around firing pins shows it has been fired but case coloring is still strong with little wear. Gun has a beautiful piece of wood for a field grade gun as you can see from the pictures.

Price of the gun is $1500 plus $35 shipping. Contact me at esetter5@roadrunner.com with any questions you might have or for additional photos.

A very fine NID that will be a great value for the lucky buyer. 16's are not often encountered, esp. in this condition. Ithaca was using up the remaining parts and wood in 1947, knowing that the double gun business was going to end. That's why you often ended up with Grade 2 or 3 wood on a field grade like this little gem. In 1948--Ithaca Doubles were put to rest forever.
