So, the question is, is the Las Vegas 1000 a good deal? Having been to several week long shoots we figured it up this way:

It’s hard to get a decent motel for less than $69.00 plus at least 10% tax, now days. So, 6 nights at $69.00 plus tax is about $455.00.

A car rental for a compact/midsize is going to be about $250.00 and a tank of gas is going to be about $40.00 so add in another $290.00 for transportation.

Then, the cost of targets. The Spring Grand is at $31.00 per hundred, targets and trophies, purse is optional. So 10 events would be $310 without purse or options.

Also, there is daily ATA and state shoot fees @ $6.00 per day for another $30.00.

If it is available, secure gun storage at the club so you don’t have to worry about someone stealing your gun out of your trunk or motel room is at least $5.00 per day for another $25.00.

Add it all up and it totals $1,110.

Through this February 15th, you can still reserve your spot in the Las Vegas 1000 at our early bird rate of only $1,125. So what do you get for your extra $15.00?

You get all of the above except:

    1. You stay not in a motel but in the full service, LVH Resort Hotel with its own casino and monorail stop linking it to the Las Vegas Strip.

    2. Instead of having to drive back and forth to the club in a rental car, you board a luxury coach and sit back and relax.

    3. Your event entries include a chance to win event Tilden custom buckles, HOA Tilden custom buckles, bonus sponsor prizes and a money purse.

    4. You can pre-order the ammo of your choice and we store it at the club along with your gun. No need running around trying to buy the ammo you like to shoot. When it is time to shoot, you just check out 4 of your boxes and go.

    5. A ticket to a really great Awards Dinner Friday night where we hand out the buckles and trophies.

    6. And, if you bring your spouse, she will have a week of fun while you are shooting.

    Not bad for $15.00

Click on the link above and reserve you spot at our Early Bird rates good through February 15th. We hope you can come and join us.

There is a guy that shoots at the club that sells Estate Shells reasonably, ask Steve he will point him out, he did it for me at his clubs last shoot, pricing was about $48 per flat, and he lives quite close to the club.

Actually, Unloader that is also true. I left off that we have beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks every day after the shoot in Gary's suite for all who want to drop by for a little pre-dinner socializing.

Is the Mustang Ranch still open? You could get a good beer there.

Mustang Ranch is a long way from LV and no it isn't what it use to be.

Actually there are no legal brothels in Clark Co NV - of course we all know nothing like that goes on in Vegas right ????

I stayed at LVH during the Shot Show. 2nd time I have stayed there. Sports Book if you like to watch and wager. Great steak at TJ's and the Paradise Cafe has a good breakfast. Room was clean and quiet. The buffet was so-so. The monorail to the strip was a breeze, buy a multi day pass.

Another really good deal at the LVH is this program:

"Guests can get in on the green endeavors as well as part of the Las Vegas sustainable hotel's "Opt-Out" promotion, which provides visitors with the option of declining housekeeping services for a day while earning a voucher worth up to $10 good at any food or retail outlet within LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino."

Getting $10 for not having your bed made up is a great deal.

Most of the dinner entrees in the Paradise Cafe are $12-$18 so with $10 off you can eat pretty well for under $10.

Early Bird rates are still good until 9:00 am PST Thursday morning. Hope you can join us.
