There are some significant numbers showing up in Nebraska recently. I saw the biggest tornado I've ever seen last weekend. It was pretty amazing.

    psfive,
What part of Nebraska do you live in? Up until yesterday we in SD did not have a snow line to hold them. We picked up about 5 inches of snow. If it stays cold you should have the geese for 2-3 weeks. If it warms up fast, the geese will blow through. Enjoy the spring hunt! Thanks, Rick

    Good Lord!
A semi-load of corn wouldn't feed that bunch for very long.

Great picture Paul. Just a guess, but I would bet there are bigger numbers further west down I-80 based on what I saw. Either way, there are alot of birds in the area. I'm in SD this weekend and it's cold. Maybe they will hold in Nebraska for a while.

Being your on land and not open water what can you use to shoot them? Lead or steel?

    Psfive,

Thanks for the info. Nice Picture.

Auctioneer...these are waterfowl. One must shoot non-toxic shot for all waterfowl regardless of the location. No lead is allowed.

My buddies made goose jerky out of 'em. Otherwise, the landfill is the next best alternative!!

If you soak in salt water until they just start to rot, you can make jerky out of them. The rot kinda kills the bad taste of goose.
