I appreciate the nice things people say about the snap caps I used to sell. The gentleman that owned the shop where we made them passed away last summer. He was a shooter and great machinist. Unfortunately the family will not allow us to continue to make the snap caps and thay have closed the shop. Therefore you know the result. No more snap caps. They were the best around but no more. thanks again for all the nice people that I have met through this site. Motordoc

I bought a number of brass caps from Shotgun Sports Magazine which are incribed with the "Champion" name and use a replaceable mop. Got a set from the Tronster, for my .410 that are quite good also.

All snap caps are bad....and DANGEROUS! There is no need to the be closing actions and pulling the trigger anywhere but on the line.

If your springs are so precious, the drop the hammer at home.

How can you make a blanket statement like that? Its the knucklehead using the cap that may be dangerous, but the cap itself is only a tool. Yes, a couple hours in a rack over the course of a day shouldn't cause a "set", but...

Spitter - I say that because there are too many knuckleheads in the world. And there are plenty at gun clubs. And everybody is a knucklehead from time to time.

Isn't that like the Libs. saying guns are dangerous, and no one should have them, since too many deaths are caused by them? Mike.
