i am thinking of buying a skb unsingle trap combo they are fairly cheap and i like the look of the upgraded wood my o/u wasnt working right erlier so i shot a friends for doubles the first round was bad beacuse i wasnt used to my gun but the next round was a 48 and that is really good for me i dont shoot that good with my normal gun wich is a citori combo ( if u have any reasons why for my o/u barrels the trigger is super hard 2 pull but my single barrel is fine please tell me) what i was wondering is if the skbs r a good gun and how reliabe r they and is there somthing they are notorious for like perazzis and bad triggers

    Thanx

Don't beleive all the bad things you hear. Anything man made will break, Why do Perazzi owners carry a spare trigger group? Why do most shooters carry a spare gun? If you want an SKB combo I have both 85TSS and 85 TTR on above web site. Take a look and call me.

    Steven,
If you are interested in a SKB combo, Mike at the Silver Dollar would be excellent choice to work with. I recently bought one from him. I had a great transaction and I like the gun a lot.

Bought my 85TSS unsingle combo with an Americase about 2-3 months ago for $2000. Have put a few thousand shells thru it. Only problem i've had is the firing pin dragging across the base of the hull when breaking it open. Not an uncommon problem and a quick & easy fix. SKBs customer service has rave reviews, especially compared to Brownings.

From what i've gleaned so far, it rates with the Citori/XT & Beretta 682 combos.

I have 6 85TSS guns that we use as rental/school guns. They average 5000+ rounds each year. We have very little problems. As Mike said anything man made will break. We sell the SKB in our shop because it's "The Affordable Choice of Quality."

I purchased one of the first 85TSS available and have shot a lot of targets with it. At the Grand this year I took it back so the people at SKB could look it over for me. To my surprise they gave the gun the once over in a big way. They replaced any and all wearable parts to include all the springs. Updated the rib and replaced a part it the trigger group that they are now machining instead of casting, total cost $0.00. I asked several times how much I owed them and they refused to take a dime. Not many companies will offer that kind of customer service. Thank You SKB for a fine product and outstanding customer service.

If you like the gun buy it you won’t regret it.

re-sale on an xt or 682 will be better than on an skb. what rev gave you was his opinion. research the gun auction and sale sights and you will find what i stated to be a fact. especially with a 682.

actually...wasn't my opinion. But what i extrapolated from the opinions of those that have owned all three.

yup....the B guns have better resale. but then they've been around a lot longer than the quality SKBs.

Also...try getting your Browning serviced like carv did with his SKB. That'll be about a 6 month wait from what i've heard.

    rev,

have you EVER sighted ANY FACTS on anything that you say on this forum?

you are nothing but a bullshit artist, and that's a fact!

how can you possibly have time to conduct beretta/ browning/ skb polls, be a reverend, a shooter, and submit your opinion to every damn thread on this site? i'll tell you how, because you're full of shit!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO hostile blizzoboy. I've read several forums in which people discuss their opinions about the skb/browning/beretta comparison.

most of them say they're fairly equal. That's all im saying.

You can unbunch your panties now. And maybe learn...facts are not mutually exclusive of opinions.

Now say...OHMMMMMMMMM or take your xanax, you seem a lil tense.

how can i be a bullshitter? Im giving opinions of those that I have listened to. Many would back me up on that.

Im sorry that you seem to have an agenda with me blizzo. But at least your true colors are showing thru.

ah, yes. the old, " i actually have no defense against his accusations, so i will become even more vague, and accuse him of picking on me."

this is a favorite tactic of whiny liberals, and b.s. artists everywhere. i have been through this with better liberals than you, on this very forum, rev. your type is nothing new.

i actually have no agenda. i do, however like to see facts, when someone makes a point. you have yet to do that, on any topic that you argue on here. your sources are always a friend, or " i read somewhere", or on another forum where a link isn't provided, etc., etc.

also, where are these mythical gunclubs that you libbies always mention on here, where the majority of the members are dems and libs? i have been a director and officer at my club, on and off for about 10 yrs. now. there are ALOT of clubs in my area, and i travel to just about all of them, either for ATA or league shoots, and sometimes just to shoot the bull. point being, i have NEVER run across your liberal crowd, or even individual, for that matter, at ANY of them.

i'm going to put the number of clubs that i visit in wny yearly at 20. give or take one or two. i also won't count the ones that i know people at, and don't get to regularly, or that i only talk to via telephone or e-mail.

my TRUE COLORS? my true colors are that i vote my sport, i involve myself in my sports politics, even while i don't have the time, i despise abortion, unless it's due to rape, i am first and foremost pro second amendment, in every way, shape, and form. basically, i'm against everything that the libbies stand for. they're socialists.

so what are your TRUE COLORS, revhole?
