I have a chance to buy a SKB 85TSS at a reasonable price. It has 30" barrels, standard wood, wide rib, and looks to be in good shape with an adjustable comb?
Is this a trap model or not?
    Thanks for you comments.

"TSS" stands for Target Super Sport. Most I've seen are TRAP guns, but they also made a SKEET version and I think there was also a Sporting Clays version. I can't remember where "TRAP" is engraved.

Good solid guns for the money. Nice one for sale now on TS.com

Here's a Sporting version, new, on Gunbroker for $1599.

Go to SKB USA website. They have current pics of the 85TSS models. Two have a parallel comb. One 'sporting'- one 'trap'. Skeet has conventional stock with narrow rib. (9mm VS 12 mm) TM

Thanks everyone for the comments. I thought I could deal with the owner of the gun, but that didn't work. Still looking.
