Mike ... I have looked at your site and your prices are close at best to being competitive on SKB.
If your willing to start at about 30% off list we might be able to talk but 17% just aint good enough, especially when there people out there starting at 20%. Now when you include transfer fees and shipping its closer to only about 14% off of list and for that 4% ($150) off a combo at list price I would rather support a local dealer offering 10% off because he is also supporting the local shooting sports and he is starting at 10% off on walk-in Joe's off the streetn not for lyal customers.
I dont mean to rag on ya Mike cause you do a great service for the trap community but it seems your always jumping onto allot of AD:, WTB:, and price questioning threads directing people to look at your prices and what you have. Kind of makes me wonder if your doing a service to shooters or a service to your wallet.
On a serious note for ShootSome ... you have those who either love SKB or hate SKB. They did have a few trigger type problems on some of the older 85TSS ones but those have been addressed. I do not own one yet but will most likely sometime this summer unless the right one falls into my hands and sings to me. I'm keeping my eye out on one currently but it just aint singin the right tune yet and it aint a combo either but then do I really need that un-single barrel? HECK YEAH I NEED IT!!!
SKB is what I consider to be a fine instrument to shoot. Are you looking at a used or new and if used how well used? To get a feel for pricing look at the included link for MSRP $'s and you can figure from there vs. the asking price vs. condition.
ShootSome ... contact SKB and ask them first if there are any dealers close to you and if not ask a dealer close to you about setting up with them. All it takes is them to contact SKB and they could become a dealer and then its time to work a deal.
The above 3 have given very competitive numbers recently to friends of mine who are interested and dont forget about Mike ... he may cut a sweeter deal than he has listed and if he does that would be great for you and for him.
lumper is correct. I have a combo unit and LOVE it, great gun, solid, reliable and I can hit the targets. The older/earlier models had a bad rep for trigger springs. Most users had a good outcome with repair. I've had no problems other than operatorheadspacing errors. About 20,000 rounds in 2 years.
