We have had a couple of questions about coming to the Las Vegas 1000 as a single shooter. I know we have all driven up to a new club by ourselves to shoot an ATA or have even gone to a big shoot without our regular shooting buddies and had that "new kid on the block" feeling.

Because of the format, The Las Vegas 1000 is probably the best shoot you can come to as a single shooter. Most of us stay in the same hotel, all the shooters ride the coach together, and we have a light reception in Gary's suite every evening about 5:00 which ends with groups forming to head off to dinner together.

Because over half the shooters come as singles, you are going to get squadded with different people so it is real easy to make new friends. We had a great time last year because we really try to make the shoot fun for everyone. So come by yourself or bring a buddy and join in.

We want the married ones too. In fact, we have some special events for the ladies and they got together last year and had great fun hitting the shops and stuff. You can bring a non-shooting spouse, friend, minder whatever for only $99.00 which includes room, transportation, special trips and a ticket to the awards banquet.

Back in October of 09'I was on I-80 at Reno and whatever big cat-house is just east of town was still open. Reno's a pretty good drve from Vegas though.

The way I always looked at it , no matter how far behind you get, it only takes about 20 minutes to get all caught up!!
