    "What did it sell for?"

Isn't that a matter between Mr. Bowen and the buyer, and none of our business?

I never meant to imply that Bruce was "running a scam". I've met him
and he's a gentlemen. I just wondered how much money was saved by bidding
at a silent auction rather than than buying direct from Bowen.

I do know Bruce Bowen personally. He is above reproach. He can sell his guns any way he wants to. You "doubters" need to give it a rest. You are probably the same people that are scared to death when you buy a $500.00 trap gun and you darn sure know your "better half" would skin you alive if you bought anything over $1,000.00 If you want to buy a Bowen gun just call him up and I am sure he will accomodate you with a price. Well I guess first you would to care . Then you would need to have interest . Then if you did,t bid it,s really not your bizz is it . I only find it a sign of the times and a little sad (a manufacture selling on trapshooters)

The issue with this type of whatever it is- that you only have the word of the person that is saying what the previous bids are -

So what are you bidding against? someone saying that they received a legitimate bid but not identifying who it was from?

How do you know what you are bidding against?

We only have Mr. Bowens word that there even were other legitimate bids.

Mr. Bowens word is apparently honored by the posters here- and they feel if he says its so- its so.

I think those are the opposite sides of the coin. Do you just want to go on faith that this is legitimate?

    regards from Iowa

Gene I really would not have a problem with that . If I bid it would only be to the point I was willing to pay and no more . If you or I were interested in a new Bowen and knowing a new Bowen sells for around $16500.00 We could safely bid less much less right ?? We do know the last bid posted was $10,000.00 so it sold for that or more ?

I myself think very little of Mr. Bowen but I don,t question his Honesty
