Santa brought me a ShotKam. Unfortunately, I need a better recipe in setting this up. No instruction book.

Looking into the ShotKam to purchase Charlie I came across some interesting YouTube videos. Might see something of interest there. I wonder if anybody else on here has a ShotKam and can shed some light on the subject. That sucks if they charge the price they do and don't include any instructions. Maybe they charge extra for them? Good Luck Charlie and please keep us posted on your success.
    Thanks

My son has one. they are kind of a PITA to manage while shooting (settings). He got a manual with all the setting procedures in it. Website is good.

It's best to have a computer with a large screen to review the videos. A cell phone doesn't cut it, especially if there's any tree background.

The rep in florida will probably help you with anything you need , but if you cant get in touch with him or there is an issue I would be happy to send you a copy of the manual in pdf
I have had one for about 2 years and have gotten a lot of use out of it.

Call Emily at Shotkam, she is a plethora of knowledge and helped me many times get the "set up" correct.

I have one, great tool. It helped me the best when I set the dot at the POI, not the POA.

Fun tool. Watch on big screen, it's awesome.

I hope the above comments are correct it looks better in a big screen bc I watched some vids on my phone and they certainly didn't seem to be the quality of a camera that price!

I finally resorted to calling our office computer support people and he got it finally on my laptop. I have not figured out yet how to get more than one single two shot attempt on the camera.

I have had both... The first version and now the new one. I didn't use the first one much, so I sold it. Then, I had an issue on the skeet field with a particular station I was trying to resolve and after trying about everything to understand what the heck I was doing fundamentally wrong, I decided to quit listening to people giving me their opinions and get the new ShotKam. Got it; shot it; and, diagnosed and fixed my issue in a session (video, take home and review, return to skeet field the following day and make adjustments; problem resolved). I plan to use the device more in 2017 for doubles training for skeet and give it a go for sporting clays. On a computer, the pics are clear and impressive. Good luck with your new toy. I see you sourced the manuals, so you are good to go.

The quality on your computer or laptop is excellent. I agree that
the phone quality is not that good.

Another point to understand is that if you want to view your shot or shots
in the field a phone or tablet is NOT they way to go. Its a real process. The camera
works best with an actual laptop (NO TABLET) in the field.

I have been in touch with ShotKam, very impressed with their customer service. If this was only a skin problem I believe I could figure it out.

For you guys with the ShotKam's, my question is this. Since most say that it helps their game, I'm just wondering how?Don't get me wrong because they must work or there wouldn't be that many shooters saying that they do. When I watch LEO's, Harlan's,Kiner's, and even Frank Little's video's where they are using a ShotKam. Sure you can see the shot string and how's the birds disenagrate when hit. Can't say that I've ever seen anyone of them miss. OK, now I buy a ShotKam install it, get it set up, go out and shoot. Now I go back home hook it up to the TV, and I see the shot string, I see the misses, I see the hits and read which way any of the pieces fall. Say a lite hit on the left side drives the pieces to the right. Vise versa for the hits on the right. Hit the top of the bird and the pieces go down, then just the opposite on a bottom hit. Hit it dead center and it explodes in smoke. OK, now I see a miss and it appears the shot sting was ahead of the bird. Another miss and its left of the bird. Now the question is, what did I do wrong? Was it my stance, the way I held the gun, did I lift my head, or what other stupid thing did I do? Seems like I would need to have a camera videoing from either behind me or in front of me or both to make the determination of the good, the bad, and the ugly of my shooting. Just wondering.. Thanks
