shot prices?

    Why is it that shot prices go nuts in the fall and winter time. BOB

    Same reason gas is high in the summer. I think lots of folks do the bulk of their reloading in the winter...demand goes up....price goes up. Of course, base price of lead has a lot to do with it as well.

    As lead stocks are higher than they've been in 5 years it's all about commodities attracting investors as a hedge against a weakening dollar and the inevitable inflation that we will see at some point. Supply and demand would dictate lower prices........but as many have found over the past few years, it's best not to get in the way of the train.

    Reloading activities have virtually no effect at all on lead prices; reloaders aren't even a tick on a hippo's back when it come to lead consumption. Blame it on speculation and a government that insists on spending money like it had it. Heaven help us all if we piss off the Chinese and they raise the interest rates on the debts we owe them.
