Does anyone know how much shot is a bag at Gander Mtn? I was thinking about going to get some since shells went up but the nearest store to me is 50 miles each way so I was wondering if it was worth it? Thanks

At 50 a bag, using decent components,it's somewhere around 6.50 a box to reload.

Raw lead has gone down, if it stays the pipeline should bring shot cost down but i can't predict the time window.

Even though raw lead prices are dropping don't expect shot prices to decline anytime soon.

Gander Mtn is on my do not buy list...........If you can not find the product you want cheaper YOUR NOT LOOKING. This is truly a sportsman convenience store.

At $50 a bag I roughly figure it to cost me $5.50 a box to reload so I guess I'll still buy new shells till shot comes down. Thanks all

    Targetmaster,

    Where are you located?

Usually you can find a better deal at a gun club. The last shot I bought from Tripple H in Linton, IN was $35.

Lead will now be like oil ... it will go up and down but never drop to what it was in the past. The world market has been set and we will never ever see cheap lead again.

Stop crying about the price of lead. Lead is a renewable resource. It does not go bad after you use it. Go out and retrieve your lead, just like an archer retieves his arrows after he shoots his targets for the day. HMB

The last thing I bought there was a mis-priced gun. Any new gun that is priced at 40% off MSRP has to go home with me and that gun has never let me down. I also used to buy a bunch of shells from them a couple of years ago when they were actually cheaper than Wally World before giving 10% when purchasing flats.
