Eastern Zone shoot last week in PA...$33.00 per.

2 weeks ago I bought 40 bags at $28.00 and was advised that the next trailer load would be $37.00 per.

About $8 a bag. Counting cost of lead wheelweights, propane, electricity. my time is free as making shot did not take me away from some other money making endeavor. Another way to look at it is for every bag I sell for $32, and we are, I get to shoot 3 for free. A guy figures out real quick that he is not going to burn the fuel to drive 50 miles to buy 2 bags of $38 shot when he can buy our locally.

I just read today that the place where I usually buy shot from is out of shot until august 20th and is going from $27 a bag to $42 a bag. I am so glad I am getting a shotmaker, shot is not worth $42 a bag. I don't think shot is going to be selling very well for a while. I heard that littleton can't keep their shotmakers in stock.

I heard there is a 3 month wait on Littleton machines.
The Better Shotmaker is in stock and ready for next day shipment according to Mr. Stewart.

I was going to buy the better shotmaker, but we don't have anywhere to plug it in since it is 220 volt and I think it would be very expensive to have a plug for it installed where I want it. I really do think the jim stewart shotmaker is better, but I just don't have a place for it.

    JMBou,

If you have two 110 volt plugs on different circuits near where you want to put it, you can make a 220 outlet quite easily.

Just bought 8 25# bags of really nice reclaimed shot for a $1.00/lb. This stuff works great from the 16 and 21.

Connies in Washington is now at 26.99 a bag if you buy 40 bags or more. The price is starting to hurt. Oh well I guess I will have to bite the bullet and buy some more.

shot410ga - true enough but how about the fellow that started into 1 oz in the 70s and 7/8 oz for certain shots in the late 80s for economy being one of the considerations? Kinda like always been religious at "saving" water, electricity, fuel et alii only to find now they want me to cut back from those self imposed minimums. Guess I'm just ahead of my time, eh?<;-)

Excellent bragging, BDODD, but since you're a nobody shooter- who cares what you shoot?
