I shot my first 100 straight today ever and it was in the HCP at the
Inland in Spokane. It was amazing! I won.
I was shaking so bad I still can't believe I hit that 100 bird.
    (20 yd line) wow!
I've never even shot a 100 singles yet.

Great job! The most I've ever gotten was a 99 (it was handicap, too). Congratulations.

Bill, You have an opportunity here to help some newbies, and/or some of the struggling vets on TS.com.. What choke, loads, and gun were your shooting? Do you know what your POI is? Expand on how you got there. Did you change something lately? Maybe some people can learn or at least try something different based on your success.

I would love too help anyone but I'm pretty new to ATA shooting.
    I will try!
I'm shooting a BT 100, with a full choke. The load was mine 1 1/8
of 8's PB powder a little under 1200 FPS. I really tried to focus on one bird
and one station at a time and it work. I had a bad flinch a few weeks
back so I switched to a release trigger two weeks ago and it was
amazing today! This was only my fifth time shooting ATA type
events. I also got a 98 in the singles today. I think I'm hooked. The
best thing was my wife was shooting the post next to me. When I missed
The two birds on the singles i was distracted by someone at my side.
A long time friend told me to wear blinders. I did that for the HCP
and it really helped. I hope thIs helps someone! Thx Bill
PS: gun shoots 70/30 not sure what POL is?

That is fantastic and now shoot the targets the same way as you did on the first 100 and more will come. You were in the zone, now you know what the zone is, keep yourself there and good shooting.

They are hard to come by. I have only 11 straights in handicap in over 50 years. The longest was 25 yards. The last one was in the late 1970s. Enjoy the feat as for most of us they are few and not common at all.

Thanks to all that responded! I have had good advice from good people.
I think this site and it's posters are amazing.
The people on this site will try to help you with any problem you have.

I have bought guns, hulls, chokes, spring kits, wad-knockers and even found out how to remove super-glue from my wifes stock (bad deal) and a few other things and everyone of those deals when smooth.

Thank you Trapshooters.com and everyone else on this site!
