Shot making question

    I have used aerosol type graphite to coat the lip on my shotmaker for a long time.. works real good.. with wheel weights..last week I made some shot from soft lead.. it didnt bounce off the lip like the harder lead does.. kinda stuck.. what type of coating do you all use on your shotmakers lip? thanks!

    Soap stone. Make sure you put it on the front of the lip and the underside.

    I have a Littelton which is aluminun, it has a smooth lip. I know the Bettershot maker is cast iron and I think it has a rough lip, do you think the red stuff would work on my littelton? thanks!
