Shooting trap with your eyes closed?

    It took me three tries before I hit the first one, and I continued to average about one out of three during my round. Can you do it?

    You just see the bird leave the house, start the swing, close your eyes and rely on your standard timing for a trigger pull.

    Open your eyes and get a big surprise.... maybe. (no peeking now!)

    Phil Kiner advises doing just the opposite as a practice drill.

    I.e., mount your gun, close your eyes, call for the target, open your eyes, move to the target, and shoot.

    It teaches you to stay in the gun and look at the target.

    At several of the large shoots I go to my friends frequently ask me if I have been shooting with my eyes closed!!!!..........Uncle Sam, Pa.

    just because you can shoot skeet with your eyes closed!
