I just tried for you and was not able to acess the site. I got a network generated error which appears to be their end. Relax, it appears its not your computer. They must be having some issues lately as i've heard others complaining. I was on there yesterday and it worked fine.

I was there yesterday with no problems...

I'm sure they are aware they have some issues...

Went to the Trapshooting Hall of Fame site, and it popped right up for me !

    Thanks for the confirmation....

@shootata.com 9:45 Eastern, sure they will have it fixed ASAP:

"A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)"

Their 'Find a Shoot Near Me' function hasn't been working for near two weeks. I E-mailed them about it and got no response.

Ever since they put that banner on the top of the page, as soon as I click on a link on the page the page freezes up.

Hummm, spoke with an old shooter friend in Florida today that gets around with some of the old boys...

He said he heard from somebody that they switched Web Site managers again, and are having some issues...

NOW, bear in mind this is ONLY a RUMOR, but it would make some sense of all this.

Anyone hear any of this ???

Not a rumor, they switched. ATA had one of the best companies out there. We will see how the new one does, but it has been a rough start.

    Thanks Blue Rock !

I spoke again with the fellow and he told me basically what you just said.

EC decided to change for some ungodly reason. The TECHPRO guys had their "A" game going with the ATA, and why they got dumped is anyones guess...The Tech people were supposedly much more economical than most also.

Thanks for the confirmation...Explains a lot.

    Probably a server cost issue.

I knew someone was going to "accuse" me of that.

    Nope. No special line. :)

Just went back to the sight and clicked on a bunch of stuff. Everything opens fine.

Must be a big snowball somewhere between my puter and Vandalia, I just tried seconds ago again.

V10, maybe it because you're at a much higher altitude?? You know, kinda like having a downhill shot at the server? :)

I faintly recall there being a couple of links to the server, one of which was unreliable. Hap, why not try just typing in shootATA.com and seeing what happens? That is, don't use a bookmark, but type it in, it sometimes provides the higher-ground trajectory you mentioned.

Neil, second time I tried that, IT worked!! Had to aim a tad higher to smoke the site! Thanks for the suggestion.
