Shipping to canada

    Hi. i was wondering if anyone has ever shipped a gun from the U.S to canada. if so could you tell me what it involves. is there any special procedures? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

    Some ways are legal some not...

    If a shotgun, you may find it easier (and cheapest) to use Leroy's Big Valley Gun Works.

    Have the U.S. FFl ship to him. He assures all paperwork is completed and walks the firearm over the border and ships the firearm to the Canadian owner.

    To do it legally, it must go through an exporting FFL. Different rules apply if it is a casual export or a commercial export. Read Joe's link. Bill Malcolm

    Sorry for sounding stupid here. but what does FFL stand for?

    It would be stupid not to ask. Federal Firearms Licensee. Gun shops and many individuals have an FFL, but few have an exporting capability. Bill Malcolm
