Hey guys, just booked a hotel in Shiloh for the Grand, and was just wondering how the area is. Can always cancel and look elsewhere if area is bad. Thanks for all the help.

Just occurred to me. You're 30 minutes from Sparta, but you can drive right up and park next to where ever it is you want to be. When I used to go to Vandalia I stayed about 20 minutes away and if I didn't want to get there at the crack of dawn, it was a 10-15 minute trip (on foot or wagon) to the sign-in shed. The more things change the more they remain the same.

Actually, it's "Shiloh". Shiloh is a lovely little bedroom community between Belleville and Scott Air Force Base.

The 27 yard line is a 'rough neighborhood". Shiloh aint.
