Federals are just over 20 for 100.

    Shell prices in Omaha:

    Rios<br>
    12 gauge 2 3/4 dram 7 1/2 shot in 1 1/8 oz. Under 20 flats $47.00 Over 20 $46

12 gauge 2 3/4 dram 8 shot in 1 1/8 oz. Under 20 flats $47.00 Over 20 $46 Tax is 5.5% at my place. I gave first chance to several trap teams, and no takers, so who ever wants them. I have a few Flats of Dianas at the same price. Omaha 402-291-9544

Maybe it's time to start shooting 7/8 oz loads. The international shooters already do it. If everyone used 7/8 oz what difference would it make?

Handicap scores would go down for most shooters and move them closer to the front. Then scores would level out again.

The only difference between Estate Game and Target load (GTL) and Top Gun is the box and the color of the hull. So I'm told by an ATK sales rep.

They do make Top Gun in 1 1/8 oz which will be available for around $6 a box this summer. Perceived value for Top Gun is higher because of the Federal branding.

This summer I'll load some 7/8 oz and try them in my Browning Citori Trap.

Keep in mind this is an election year. Ammo companies know that ammo sales are always high during an election year.

I just paid $8.99/box for AAs at my local Gander Mountain. I couldn't believe it!

Also, for those of you who are pondering the idea of 7/8oz., I've been shooting 7/8 oz. for a few years now, and I'm very confident with them. And look on the bright side -- You're not loading as much shot!

Bi-Mart stores in the Northwest have Gun clubs for 4.99 a box on sale now. They just had Federal Top Guns for 4.69 a box and STS's for 5.99 a box. Their sales which are on all the time are the best prices in this area.
