Another vote for Gary Bulley in Vctor, MT. His cutter makes it easy to recover all components excluding the shell.

Would this be the Metal one with the carbide cutter? If so I would like to make connection with the seller. Thanks J.Woolsey

I use a single edge razor blade and a pair of needle nose plyers. Works well but I wouldn'd want to dismantle 100 this way. For the occasional dud shell, it works well. First, cut the end of the shell off at the crimp (start your cut and roll the shell on a flat surface); pull out the wad slowly, then dump the powder.

    J Woolsey:

Gary makes his cutter from hardwoods with a razor blade insert. They work great and are nice looking.

I use a PVC pipe cutter cut right thru the wad between powder and shot needless to say hulls are toast but you can save everything else.

Gregg1966- I too used the PVC cutter until I tried Gary's cutter. End of story and end of the PVC cutter
