Just got this... Maybe we should all do this until the election and let those who want to vote for Obama see what it will feel like. ha ha ha ha....

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money."

    I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my waitress had on a "Obama 08" button, again I laughed as she had given away her political preference -- just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip my waitress and explained to her that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept.

she stood there in disbelief while I told her that I was going to redistribute her tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside.

The waitress angrily stormed from my sight and muttered "kiss my ass" under her breath.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $5 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waitress was pretty angry that I gave away the money she did earn even though the actual recipient needed the money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

    Think about it people.

It's important to understand that any tax is sharing the wealth! Yes Obama wants to change the tax structure, but McCain also wants to. McCain also wants to share the wealth, he wants to give every American not covered with health care $5000 dollars in tax benefits. That money will come from taxing the health care of other American that get it paid at work, that's sharing the wealth.

There are real differences in McCain and Obama. I surprise tha people buy into socialism and the shaing the wealth. The same case could be made for McCain that by voting for the bail out he was voting for a form of Socialism. That's what I don't like about Palin, she needs to think about what she is saying, I know she doesn't understand the job she is running for and is weak on the issues! I wish she focused on the issues and showed a little more intelligence in her statements, I think she would help McCain much more!

SG, did you deliberately misstate the McCain proposal, or are you really that lacking in intelligence?

The Kaiser Fondation reports that an emmployee health plan for a single individual averaged $4479.00/year for individuals.

so you would be taxed on $4479, and get a credit of up to $5,000.

That means no tax, where I went to school.

They also report an individual without employer sponsored insurance, in a private plan, paid an average of $5090,00.

That means he would be tax free on all but 90 dollars of that expense.

    Explain your logic, please.

HalfMile.........Your missing the point, I'm not talking about his plan! I'm talking about Sharing the wealth! Any type of tax or tax credit changes who pays the taxes! If you give someone a tax credit your changing the tax structure! If you give to one you must take from another. The People that benefit are sharing in someone elses money since the costs of the Federal Goverment are paid by taxes and taxes must go up to pay for tax credits! Some people don't understand basic econ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,There is no such thing as a free lunch!

SG, the plans are also NOT EQUAL on the AMOUNT of money they will take from the Majority and give to the Minority (non-taxpayers). Comparing McCain's healthcare proposal to hussein's socialism society is TOTALLY out of context.

    SG, your words not mine,

Looks like you place them equally. If I misunderstood, sorry, but I guess it was just my redneck education.

There is one major difference between sharing the wealth here at home and sharing the wealth to all other countries to bring the USA down to other countries satndards. I cannot understand how any one could in this country country stand for that and vote Obama. I know we already give one hell of a lot to foreign aid but what Obama wants to do is way beyound helping other countries.

bocephus, I see SG is like hussein and biden, "he did that when I was 8 years old...oh starting my political career in his living room; oops. “I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother . . . ."; "And, you know, the notion that somehow that the American people are going to be distracted once again by comments not made by me, but somebody who is associated with me that I have disowned, I think doesn't give the American people enough credit."

Waffling....or is it mispeaks? LOL LOL LOL

Tax breaks, as far as the lower classes are concerned, are nothing more than crumbs the rulers toss to the hoi polloi.

You want to see tax breaks, check out Big Oil.

As far as taxes go, I'm in Huckabee's corner with a 10 per cent tax on everyone.

The socialist is going to kill this country if his deal goes, this has been tried before.

He is pandering to the masses of no or very low income, because that's where the most envy and bitterness resides. Never mind that their problems are mostly self induced.

That's also where the most gettable votes are.

The great economic success of East Germany in the 70's and 80's should be enough to strike fear in the hearts of any Obama voter. the wealth was shared there, wasn't it?

Or was there somehow an upper class that lorded it over the masses?

    Figure it out.
