Did you see that the Democrats in Congress are trying to cook up an underhanded scheme to pass the health care bill without ever having to vote on it? How do you like them apples?

This way the bastards can go home and tell their constituency they did not support or vote on this bill.

YOU CAN DAMN WELL BET - if they HAD the votes, they would TAKE a vote.

This just means they ain't got it.

And another thing, Rush was right - there will NEVER be any reconciliation process in the Senate, and Obama knows it. The Senate will not go there. That's just something they're telling the House members, to draw them along and get them to vote on the Senate bill.

And from the looks of things - the House ain't buying it.

If it was just cowardice it wouldn't be so bad. It's also treachery and traitorism.

Speaker Pelosi pretty much sums it up herself:
The tactic -- known as a "self-executing rule" or a "deem and pass" -- has been commonly used, although never to pass legislation as momentous as the $875 billion health-care bill. It is one of three options that Pelosi said she is considering for a late-week House vote, but she added that she prefers it because it would politically protect lawmakers who are reluctant to publicly support the measure.

"It's more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know," the speaker said in a roundtable discussion with bloggers Monday. "But I like it," she said, "because people don't have to vote on the Senate bill."

She recognizes it's a "tactic" for Members to be able to dodge accountability to their constituents. What bothers me the most about this is the SHEAR ARROGANCE. She seems to believe we ignorant voters out here in the hinterland are too stupid to understand that a member who supports the "popular package of fixes" is IN FACT allowing this monster to go to the President's desk for signature.

Now folks, as my dear departed Daddy would say..."Eiher she's an idiot to think we won't see what's going on, OR she thinks YOU'RE AN IDIOT who can be so easily fooled.
but Son..there's an idiot in here somewhere".

It is long over do, what other excuse do we need to throw every incumbent out. Flush them all out of DC. When they say, I voted against it, tell them we don't care--It happened on your watch--you didn't work hard enough. Our country has less than 10 years to survive unless "WE the People" change Congress & the Pres. You have been warned. I'm will to contribute $5000.00 towards a billboard on RT 95/ the major N/S route in the east. Its theme will be "IF they're In They're out" Time is running out.

The slimy democrats can go home and say they supported the bill the way they supported our troops. What scumbags.

What they are tyring to do is in direct violation of Section 1 Article 7 which clearly states no bill will reach the presidents desk before being voted on by the house and the senate...This will go to the supreme court and Obama is not very popular with the Supreme court these days....

The resident pukes seem to be on vacation lately.

Maybe they're having a seminar on how to promote chicanery.

I post this with extreme pleasure.

"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President (see trends).

Each time the President leads a big push for his health care plan, his job approval ratings suffer. For Members of Congress, the impact may be more tangible. Just 34% say they’re more likely to vote for someone who supports this legislation. Fifty-percent (50%) are less likely to vote for a Member of Congress who supports the health care reform plan proposed by the President and Congressional Democrats."

If you would eliminate the welfare recipents and the rest of the non-productive dead beats from the voting ranks, I am sure all the 23% that like him will be gone. If only the productive (those who actually pay all the bills anyway) were allowed to vote, I am sure the face of this nation would look totally different and we would once again be the greatest nation on earth. If not, we will all be worshipping allah in chinese work camps.

The best way to gain control is to have your STATE legislature convene a state constitutional convention to propose an amendment. I can be done without Congress voting on it. The amendment should simply state that no can be passed that does not apply to congress. Can you imagine if they were subject to Social Security, Medicare, et al? Get on you locals and see what happens in Washington. We can make this happen.

We have no "checks and balances" to protect this nation from criminals. What is next?
