    From THE SHOOTING WIRE:

    Rumors, Acquisitions and Elections

Don't have the minutes of the meeting (yet), but sources tell me California Senator and longtime gun-hater Dianne Feinstein's legal staff held meetings on Friday with FTB/ATF legal staff to discuss a new "Assault Weapons Ban" Madame Feinstein would be looking to push through Congress if President Obama wins reelection.

This same "pretty good intelligence" says the items that would lead to a ban would ban pistol grips and "high-capacity" magazines, eliminate any grandfathering and ban sales of "weapons in possession". I don't know about you, but if these things come to pass and I'm "in possession" I'm certainly not selling. In fact, the lack of interest in the idea surprised the California liberal's legal staffers. Apparently, they believe no logical person could possible disagree with them.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't begin (or end) with a rumor, but today and tomorrow aren't exactly ordinary days. Today is the final day before the general election, and in case you haven't noticed there are plenty of significant items on ballots across the nation.

But the outcome of the presidential race will say a lot about where we're headed as a nation- and as shooters. If you are registered to vote and haven't already voted via absentee ballot, delay whatever you had planned for tomorrow short of life-saving surgery and get to the polls.

On Friday, I began receiving the first reports of increases in gun buying by people concerned about tomorrow's election. Dealers in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Indiana all tell me there hasn't been a huge number of buyers expressing those concerns, but the numbers were noticeable.

Among that group -and the majority of "regular" purchasers- the core driving most of the purchasing seem to be in their mid-to-late 30s. Again, home and personal defense are the most frequently cited reasons for buying.

Feinstein owns that senate seat and she knows it. She is demented like the rest of her kind and the swine/cattle of this state re-elect she and her wicked witch sister Babs Boxer. Two of a kind, hate their fellow man while posturing care and benevolence.

The problem is there isn't anyone in Ca. politics that can oust her from office. She just keeps winning and winning every election because she speaks what the Lib's want to hear. Feinstein, Boxer and Pelosi are the three that need to go!

It aint the color of Feinstein's skin that is the problem. It is the gray matter between her ears.

<i>"We just won the House by a comfortable margin, they can block any thing the Senate proposed."</i>

Keep in mind that the previous anti-gun legislation such as the 1994 ban, Lautenberg, and the Brady Bill did not have enough Dem votes to pass, until RINOs "reached across the aisle" and helped them.

So just because Republicans control the house do not ever think for one second you can assume they are going to block anti-gun bills. Do not get complacent. Keep the pressure up on them.

BTW, the irony is that gov.org will have LESS control over these firearms than if they just left them alone.

Banning transfers will be unworkable without registration.

And registration will be unworkable itself.

It is estimated that only 10% to 20% at best of the so-called "assault weapons" in Commiefornia were registered.

This leaves a large pool of firearms that have gone underground and have entered the shadow world of the black market. This is almost entirely out of control of the government. No background checks, no denials for felons, and no paper trails.

The anti's sure aren't showing any brains over this. But then, if they actually used logic they wouldn't be crap for brains liberals.

It's ironic that Charles Schumer, the anti-gun Senator from New York, has a carry permit for New York City, where NOBODY gets a carry permit - unless you know the right people. An anti-gun guy with a carry permit?

Diane Fineswine, who pushed the handgun ban in San Francisco, turned in her handgun as a publicity stunt. In fact, she kept her other handgun.

Diane Feinstein was carrying a S&W model 36. Did she turn that one in and switch to a Glock?

Here's the deal guys, Anyone who thinks Dianne Feinstein is an idiot is deluded. She knows exactly what she is doing, and so do the rest of her ilk.

They are chipping away at the fabric of he US.

Gun Control is not about guns.

    It is about control!

If you control the guns, you control the people. Luckily it will take a long time to control the guns, but the longer it takes the better chance they have of success.

Success in this case means slavery!

Sooner or later it will come to a fight.

When it starts which side will you be on. You will need to chose quickly and you will get only one chance.
