You'll get paid a substantial discount to spot price (-20% or more) and if its sterling silver, its 92.5% silver (the rest is copper and some other stuff). Shop around. Might not be worth defacing a nice trophy.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

silver is right around $40 an ounce. I sold some to buy powder and primers for my new addiction. they were pretty ruff looking. I keep all the nice looking coins for my kids.

I have included a website to check current prices on gold and silver. We have sold some gold and silver scrap on Ebay which sold for at current price or slightly below on one day auctions. It's the easiest way to sell extra unwanted gold or silver items.

Agreed EBAY gave me more cash than my local jewelry and coin stores would. It was more exciting too!!

I was just gonna say if your not eating becasue your busted but yet have a closet full of silver trophies, sell them mutha's.

My few trophies mean more to me then the silver content but i understand where your coming from. You could always donate them to a club to give as AIM or SCTP trophies.

At the end of the discussion its your stuff to do with what you want.
