Silver Seitz build Custom guns one at a time and not by the 100,s .

Wilkinson barrel work is not after market on some Silver Seitz guns .

A Silver Seitz can be ordered with Wilkinson Barrel work from Seitz as part of buying a gun .

When you make one barrel at a time it will be made to shoot the best it can so a difference in diameters will be the norm .

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Apparently the choke option requires Wilkinson choke tubes matched to the bore, or, a factory fixed choke.

Paladin your about right . You can also have a Wilkinson fixed choke .

I have the Wilkinson tubes and they are fine but if I did it over I would have a fixed choke of around .035 . I have never used the more open choke and really not sure were it is .

I have (had) a S.S. and several P's with custom barrel work and choke tubes of .022, supposedly good from 16-22 yds. The .022 never seemed to work out for me. As a note of interest, Tom Seitz thought that you needed enough choke to get a "confidence building break", and would not ordinarily open a choke more than .028 which would give great breaks on 16's and the first shot of dbls.
