as for a single action it is hard to beat the Rugers, in double the S & W 17 is a good one

Ruger single six with both cylinders. Hat mine for about 35 years. Bought new and wore most of the blue off but still shoots like new.

    All

I need a .22 to carry on the Saddle, will only use "Ratshot" for the most part.

Will send Rick a private e-mail.

If XP100 has pictures that would be nice.

I'd suggest something much bigger than a .22 if you're planning on mostly shoot shot from it on top of a horse shooting at anything on the ground not going to do much. Unless of course you're aiming at your foot.

Maybe one of those new .45-.410 combo revolvers would make more sense.

I agree about the inefectiveness of 22 rat shot at horse height. I own three revolvers for snake/rat shot use. Started with the 22, then .38 and finally evloved into a Taurus Judge .45/.410. Obviously the Taurus does the best job although any will do the jor at close enough range.
