scoring a double at a ata single event in fostoria

    i was shooting in fostoria sunday at their ata shoot. was on 5 post trap 1 i got a hard right angle target, broke the target hard. as i followed on by the target i saw a black bird fly into my pattern
    the feathers flew and the bird did a helicopter spiral into the high grass.
    the first thing they said to me afterwards was may we see your hunting license?

    Justifable homocide, definitely! I once did it on a dove, shooting doubles at the Grand..They wouldn't give me credit for the dove! Got a lecture about protected bird!

    Big Jack,are you the one who shot the dove on purpose at the Grand a few years back?

    Nope, mine was in line with the second target when I fired. I remember the incident you are refering to...that was not as you say, justified!

    witnessed a double on a seagull and clay target (second shot on a doubles pair) in Alberta years ago....
