On the local news this morning. The Washington School district outside of Peoria Illinois has voted to allow administrators to be armed at school. The school board voted it in. They must work with the local police and pass the 40 hour police weapons training course. They essentially become auxiliary police officers. No word yet as to when they'll actually be in place.

Guess the NRS'a idea wasn't stupid to everyone...............

As a retired administrator from a school district with 42 administrators in 13 schools, I can honestly tell you that of the 42 administrators, there would be perhaps half that would be of any use with a gun. But then again, half is better than none.

I really don't think it makes a lot of difference how good they are just to let the sicko's know that there might be a gun there will be enough to deter most of them

Catpower has it right...its the deterrent factor of knowing half the faculty in a school is armed..and the dimwit wont know which half...the kids will be safer
