I'm 60. Never before in my life have I been scared about the outcome of a presidential election, about how it may affect me personally. I've been angry and bewildered but never scared. Tonight I'm scared. As a shooter and gun owner in a state that largely hates shooters, and that may be emboldened to persecute gun owners if Obama wins, I'm wondering if I'm going to end up forced to get out of California just to escape government persecution. If I was east of the Sierras that would be one thing but I'm on the coast.

Wireguy, if I were you I'd sell all my guns before Pelosi and Obama come knocking on your door.

I will start the bidding at $50

Me too, I actually feel a little sick to my stomach. I'm 44 and left LA County in 2004 for Idaho. I live in a red state where gun ownership is king, but I'm scared $(!&less about the future of our country...

Relax. Fear not because we are going to win.

    Thanks,

I live in Pennsylvania where gun ownership and the ability to buy as many as often as we want are taken for granted. In spite of that, I'm more than a little concerned. I might even be able to say I'm a little scared, too.

It never ceases to amaze me how a state like Pennsylvania that sells 953,000 resident hunting licenses every year, is littered with gun clubs and is home to more registered trapshooters than any other state continually elects a liberal president. Well, I guess I do know HOW it happens - our gun owners are too lazy to vote or don't register to vote for fear of being summoned for jury duty or some other equally weak reason. But the folks in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh who need the entitlements liberals offer show up at the polling places out of necessity.

When I was leaving work this afternoon, a young guy in our rental office was saying that the early exit polls show Obama ahead but, he said, that hopefully will change later on when the Republicans get out of work.

Oh well, the NRA has been our friend for a long time; here's hoping it is able to stave off the threats to the Second Amendment that Obama and the Clintons reportedly have planned for his second term.

I don't believe Obama's winning would hurt anyone 60 or over.

Who it will hurt is the very people who voted for him, if they are under 55.

The biggest pain will be healthcare and taxes.

More layoffs, fewer jobs, more small and large businesses closing their doors.

Only salvation is Republicans hang on to the House and pray for gridlock.

The Russians and Iranians will be happy that Obama will now have the "flexibility" he wanted after the election. The Israelis must be working on their survival plans. The economy will "tank" and your hard-earned dollars will be worth less and less as the money presses in Washington run overtime printing paper to take care of the burgeoning debt. Sleep tight... Ed
PS: Figure out which guns you will be turning in.

Well I'm an immigrant living in California. And I am disgusted and discouraged. I left Europe in 96 due to socialism, i feel I've been followed. I am seriously considering moving out of California.
I am embarrassed by the Republican Party. A lot of local republicans didn't vote Romney because he was Mormon, but went and voted Obama who is pro choice and with gay marriage. These calling themselves Christians voted against family values and Christian believes.
I think the Democrats got a could hold on this country and the Hispanic vote will only make them stronger with time, unless, a drastic change within the party happens. I think, Romney should have chosen Cruz or Rubio as running mate.
Personally, I am a Ron Paul supporter, but I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am doubting my settling down in this great country, that I love.
    SAD, very SAD
