1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

That seems a little stiff to me. There is a lot of interest in the 99's, and quite a few variants. Guns with brass rotors and good case coloration are desirable.

I had a nice one but in a fit of stupidity............(you know the rest).

Yeah, plenty of interest, but alot less at that price. Whats the serial # ?(ex.1234xxx). Just wondering.Condition? Pics? Is he the original owner of said rifle? Anything you can offer would help with its sale.

To me it is one of the best med. range deer rifles that was made and the 250-3000 was a great round. I killed a lot of deer with the first 99 that was made in that cal. Like HM I got weak minded and sold it.

I have a 250-3000 savage which as given to me by my step father when I was 14 and old enough to deer hunt. While I have never killed a deer with this rifle my step father did very well with it killing his buck as I remember 13 straight years. The most notable deer he got with it weighed 213 lbs. dressed and had 16 points. I have not fired this rifle in years but when I was young I could shoot 1" groups with it. The 99 is a very good gun and has always lived up to its reputation.

selling mistake was the Win M71 in .348 for $300.00 a few years ago...alas..

I need to add a 99 to my lever gun collection. The only caliber that really interests me is 22-250.

If it's in "great shape" (95%+) it's worth every bit of $800.
