A columnist for a London-based Saudi daily newspaper is calling President Obama a failure and blaming his “hesitant” leadership for the catastrophic situation in Syria, where tens of thousands are dead as a result of the civil war.

The report comes from the Middle East Media Research Institute, which monitors and reports on media in the Middle East.
“The problem of U.S. President Barack Obama can be summed up in a single word: hesitation. The man is short-sighted, confused and diffident,” wrote Mashari al-Zaydi, a columnist for the daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat.

MEMRI reported the column called Obama out as the weakest president in U.S. history and blamed him for allowing the crisis in Syria to escalate.

He warned that Obama’s failures in the Middle East have set the foundation for an extremism and sectarian violence that will be greater than al-Qaida.

MEMRI said it’s just the latest in a series of reports from Saudi press members who have attacked America on its Syrian position. The criticism has come since Secretary of State John Kerry met in Moscow with Russians to set a meeting date to talk about the situation in Syria

Yet we cannot be certain what this writer is advocating. Perhaps he wants to see an extension of the "Arab Spring" where the Islamic Brotherhood takes over Syria and further endangers whatever hegemony still exists in the region.

ps Just because a person agrees that Obama is a failure does not make that person an ally.

pps “[We must conclude that] this is not a skilled statesman and politician with creative solutions, but an ordinary academic who repeats meaningless slogans and does not possess the political sensitivity to give each factor the weight it deserves, to take bold [action] when necessary and to refrain [from action] when necessary.”

Perhaps Obama's greatest failing is that he has surrounded himself with advisore who are "nobodies" like him. Remember the Cubam Missle Crises? JFK had smart people to advise him. Even Nixon had Kissenger. Obama only has the leftist ideologs he appointed from the most radical wing of American life. This is why everything he has touched is coming back to bite him. His union buddies are in full revolt over Obamacare. His solidly left Dems in Congress like Elijah Cummings are on the other side of the IRS scandal.

Remember just who HIS Attorney General is - the lawyer whose firm defended Guantanamo inmates "pro bono".

Rush says that the left will not allow Obama to be impeached. Perhaps he is right BUT the scandals are piling up faster than his minions can sweep them under the rug.

The Tea Party is resurgent. Actually it never went away. It only comes to the fore when things get so out of hand that patriots must stand up. The coming mid-term elections could be the end of any sort of effectiveness for Obama. However, to achieve this, the Republicans must embrace the Tea Party and not allow left wing "journalists" to smear patriotic Americans who want their country back. I am sure that Kenya will take back its native son and make him THEIR President.

Recently read an article which essentially said that o could not be impeached because that would leave us with Biden. Biden is o's insurance and or assurance policy.

Is the columnist a muslim? If so, read anything he writes knowing that Islam requires him to lie and deceive when speaking to non-muslims.

Sometimes, the enemy of your enemy is not your friend. Sunni radicals, including Al Quaida types, with support from Saudi Arabia and other Sunni States, are fighting to topple the Syrian government. Hezbollah and other Shiite radicals, with backing from Iran, are fighting to save the Syrian government.

    Choose your poison carefully.

It doesn't matter. Whichever side prevails will be in accord with the drive to create the Caliphate, and hasten the world's takeover by Islam.

Obama is in sympathy with that movement and his ineffectuality is intentional, to insure that Democracy is not part of the area.

Saudi Arabia has invested billions of dollars from Indonesia to North America and from South Africa to Scandinavia in order to promote its Wahhabi-Salafi doctrine in the shape of mosques, madrassas, media, think tanks and advocacy groups.

Consequently in the global mainstream media, there is a coordinated and deliberate effort to hide, dilute and obscure the ideology of the Wahhabi-Salafi perpetrators of violence. Similar efforts are done to obfuscate the fact that terrorism in the West as well as in Muslim countries remains, in the main, a Wahhabi-Deobandi phenomenon.

    The link is very informative.

I could not care less about Syria. My God, I might actually agree with Obama one this one. As long as either side in Syria leaves our friends in Israel alone then let them settle their own problems.

Obama,on the other hand,by saying there was a line that couldn't be crossed, and then allowing it to be crossed, has made himself and our country look weak. It is better to keep your mouth shut if it is going to write checks that won't be cashed.

Many people do not understand Islam and think Muslims are Baptists with head wear. Unfortunately, it looks like many in Government think the same. Getting involved over there has not yielded much success, except for Jefferson in the early 1800s, and Teddy Roosevelt, briefly. Surely we have some Middle East experts somewhere.

I would think that 548 would be upset with the market being so high. You know the old "rich getting richer" arguement.I thought 548 was more of an advocate of the lttle guy. That is the guy who is suffering under this administration. The guy who can't find a job. But I agree the market is a good thing. One just needs to be smart enough to pull out before it crashes. And it will crash.
