Sportshot, I think you are confusing it with a Crown Grade. My recollection was Std, grade, San Remo, Montecarlo grade, w/ silver inlays, Crown grade w/ gold inlays, & Super Crown grade, more gold.
A San Remo should be worth about twice what a grade 1 is, 32" top single doesn't add much.
I've even got a picture of these guns, with a young looking Hal DuPont. Check these prices: Std, 595, San Remo, 995,Monte Carlo 2650, Crown grade 2750, and super Crown 2950, add 50 for 32" bbls. Dates back to late '60s
I bought my first one for 395 in '65, second one in '71 when they were up to 895, went skyrocketing up shortly thereafter.

It is worth what someone actually PAY for it!! Be careful if it is a real early serial number-most San Remos were early guns...IMHO,a stone new Crown-grade may
go into the low teens, not a SanRemo. (I'm a buyer if priced right) Paul in Virginia

What is the serial number range and can you provide a picture?

Without those there are too many unknowns

They did not have "early" San Remo's

They did on the other hand have identifiable engraving by numerical category.

    Regards from Iowa

    And the Blue Book says...

$5250, add 20% for two barrell set. Now that is crazy, huh? I'd buy them all at that price! But with the Super Crown's at $9K, I think I will hold out!
