This paper is quite a read. It appears that Saddam really was a wicked one and that Bush and Blair were right on the war (accidently). Check it out for a chilling scenario who our friends really aren't! We have traitors in top positions of power, both Democrats and Republicans. (more of the former, by far) The State Dept. is a pack of liars and bush should have cleaned them out in his first acts of office. The press is unabashedly communist, as is time magazine with its Putin-man of the year award. And here we are arguing about something as trivial as global warming. If these countries get their nukes we will have global warming on an entirely different scale. Quicky

A weak and incompetent President does not know how to surround himself with good people, and without them everything falls apart ,as you and I have witnessed and are still witnessing! He does not know what to do when action is required. All he does is keep the chair warm.

Ace, that's stupid. Would you have rather had Albert "I invented the internet" Gore or John "fake war hero" Kerry?

No...not Kerry[for other reasons], but I now know that the people were right about Gore! At least he's intelligent! Hey, I voted for Gomer, you think I'm happy about our current situation?

Gore/intelligent is as much an oxymoron as civil war or barely dressed. He would have held out a silver platter to Saddam, Mitterrand, Chirac and Putin. Our guns would have been on it, as well. Bushs' problem was his niavete concerning how deep the hatred of his Democrat and Press Corp enemies went. He isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer but a big heart was his Achille's heel. Of course Saddam had WMD. And thanks to the UN's and Clinton's bungling, he had plenty of time to squirrel them away and send many over his borders.

And on top of that, Saddam himself *IS* a WMD. As long as he had the infrastructure, the money, and the scientists, he could make WMD at any time.

I am absolutely 100% behind taking Saddam out and establishing a presence in Iraq.

I am dismayed on how the war has been bungled, and that we did not get the lid on very quickly and move on to the next pain in the ass - Iraq.

One of the biggest mistakes the Bush administration made was the total disbanding of the Iraqi army. That may have worked for the Nazis, but it was not needed here. Only a purging of the top officer ranks, and promotion of junior officers loyal to Iraq, with the rest of the troops kept in line. We would have shaved years off our time table this way. I think it's the near fatal flaw in the administration's thinking. I just hope we can still get this salvaged and turned around (progress is steadily being made) but we've lost our opportunity to deal with Iran and if need be Syria.

Bush's fault was trying to be too partisan in his first term. All that got him was a T.Kennedy knife in the back. And yes, he was too submissive to leave the bad apples in the barrel, but would you want a bunch of "newbies" in there during 911? Hind sight is 20/20. It is easier to criticize, than to offer real solutions. Who has offered real solutions? It has been "party before country" since Wild Bill was in office.
Unfortunately, the upcoming choices from both parties pretty much suck. Is that all they have to offer?

We were told that the WMD were there and the ones that did the telling knew it cause our government did the giving of the WMD in the first place back when our Presidents dad was the head of the CIA. It's a known fact and you can see the documents for yourself that we gave Saddam the ingrediants for genocide. You just have to ask the people that hide that stuff where they put it. While you find that out ask them what they did with George's record of service with the Texas Air Guard. That little tit-bit will answer some questions that have never been answered.

Dahaub; go to the link and read the report and don't limit your thinking to the liberal communist press bias. There is no evidence of your assertion that the CW precursor chemicals came from the US. For all the naysayers: exercise some mental discipline and read the report. It changes absolutely everything.
