I will be in the Sacramento,CA area this weekend and would like to try shooting some trap while I am there.

Quick google search pulled up Coon Creek Gun club. Are there any others that would allow non-members to shoot ?

    Appreciate any pointers !

    Thanks,
    JB

A bit of a drive but their is a public range in Oreville, Ca. It's Free and, bring your own thrower and clays. Heard there is one in Willows but can not say for sure.

One in Rancho Cordova, probably Rancho Cordova Shooting Center. If you have an opportunity to use the Auburn or Coon Creek Facility you will be way happy, but fine at Rancho also.

I went to Coon Creek today. I must say, very nice facility run by very friendly and inviting folks.

Targets were very good and consistent. Surprsied myself by running a 100 in singles practice !

    Regars,

Just watch out for the chicken, goat and cat herd. Very nice targets though, which is what it is all about.

El Dorado Gun Club is small, friendly, old timey, and very together. A PITA club.
